Air Travel

Question:

As annoying as I find these ticket offers (and as puzzling as I find all these unused one-way tickets), it seems to me that the main reason this group was formed in the first place was to get all these offers out of rec.travel. It seems to me that they’re an appropriate use of the group. Wayne

Wrong again.  Some of us want to discuss air travel. Fortunately, there’s a vote going on for misc.travel.marketplace, so all your garbage can go to another group, which I won’t read.

Gee, virtually the only reason I read this group is so I can see what airline tickets might be for sale (since the fares are so high these days)!  Please, if you have a ticket for sale, post it!!  Thank you Shelly p.s.:  I’m particularly looking for any tickets for a female passenger that would get me from SFO to NYC (or somehwere close) and back between now and the end of the year….

What a nitwit, Mr. Mensch is!  I have used this newsgroup many times to sell tickets and to buy them.  Many friends of mine do, also.  Why do people like SUPERmensch take such pleasure in being nasty? My little 3-line posting wasn’t bothering anyone.  The only reason to have a group like this, is so that we all can fly a little cheaper.  The aircarriers really screw you when you’re trying to fly somewhere on short notice. Or, in my case, the fare structures were changed, so that if I want to change my flight, I have to pay an extra $105.  So I offered my ticket on the net. What’s wrong with that!? Anyway, I still have one 1-way ticket from LAX=>DC (BWI) for a male traveler. I will sell it for $150 (o.b.o.) Thanks, D. Campbell
