Question:
You may want to look into flying into Buffalo, NY and getting a rental car and drive into Canada near the Niagara Falls area. It is a nice drive and you will get a great view of the falls! Toronto is not that far of a drive from the falls area and you will get the opportunity to make a photo stop at the falls.
Response:
There’s a connection on Northwest via Minneapolis departing 1307, United via Denver at 0620 and 1124, Air Canada via Calgary at 1240, United via Chicago at 0658 etc. etc. As for YYZ-NYC drive/take the bus to Niagara and fly from the US side (Buffalo). Services on American/Continental/US Air and Jet Blue depending on what fare you want to pay and which airport you need to get to.

Or GEG-SEA on Southwest or Alaska then SEA-YYZ on Air Canada, both non-stop. You’ll need to leave Spokane by 0630 though. Also GEG-(SLC)-STL on Southwest, STL-YYZ Air Canada, but a long connection.

What’s your priority? Time or money? The other suggestions are good for time savings but could ber costly. Trans-border air travel would add US$40+ in U.S. entry fees. You might want to consider SPokane/Seattle – Buffalo and rent a car from there (if you need one) or drive to Kelowna/Calgary and then fly to Toronto
Response:
If you want to see Niagara (got to resist the impulse to make the first letter "V" ;-) get a rental car and drive the 50 miles or so.

You certainly can fly AC Spokane-YYC-YYZ. Which sounds to me a hell of a lot better than driving to Vancouver. And actually, if you like driving, isn’t Calgary closer than Vancouver from Spokane? Or you could drive to some place in BC that’s closer to Spokane and go from there. Penticton? Kamloops?
