Question:

: Woman sitting next to me changed a diaper on a flight one time—-during : dinner service!! No 1s or No 2s? Cheers, Ross-c

Response:

PHL to ALB last Friday night.  First is boarded and they’re working on the first third.  Mom and Dad and little "Johnny" are walking through First and I hear this wet, splashing sound.  "Johnny" has promptly emptyed the contents of his stomach in the isle.  Poor sot in 3E caught some of the redirect on his pants. We had started out late due to the crew coming in late.  Tack on another 1/2 hr for utility to come and take care of the situation. Jim

No 1s, (don’t know what I would have done if it was the other.)

Response:

: No 1s, (don’t know what I would have done if it was the other.)     Experienced parents carry a number of plastic bags. A sufficient number of plastic bags inside each other can render almost anything suitable for carriage. Cheers, Ross-c

It became obvious with the first couple of lines of your post that it would be a dream. We all know that it is physically (as in "physics") impossible for you to have a problem free trip :-) :-) :-)

One time, I was on my way to the airport, and there was no traffic.  I found a parking space really close to the terminal.  The desk agent was kind and friendly, and she gave me a free upgrade to first class. The security guards didn’t go out of their way to make my life miserable.  The gate agent didn’t bark at me or try to make me gate check my tiny carry-on bag.  The flight attendants didn’t act like they were doing me a favor by deigning to even speak to me.  The plane arrived on time, we boarded on time, there was space for my carry-on in the overhead, we pushed back *and* departed on time, there was no turbulence, the meal was excellent, my seatmate was pleasant company, we arrived on time, my checked luggage did not get lost or torn up, and the shuttle to the rental car area was running every 5 minutes as advertised.  I got a free upgrade to a nicer rental car, the directions to my hotel were correct, traffic was light, I had a wonderful dinner, and my room was ready when I checked in to the hotel.  I got a good night’s sleep and I was rested and ready to work in the morning. Then I woke up.  It was only a dream.  Everybody knows that never happens in real life!  But it was pretty weird, and it’s a travel story. Best Regards, Bill Mattocks
